Food-to-microorganism ratio for process control. Target 0.2–0.5 lb BOD/lb MLVSS·day for conventional AS.

SRT / MCRT
Vol × MLSS / (WAS + Eff)

Solids retention time — critical for nitrification (needs 8+ days at 20°C). Tracks WAS flow, effluent TSS, and total volume.

Sludge Wasting
Based on target SRT

Calculates the daily WAS volume needed to hit a target SRT. Takes the guesswork out of wasting decisions.
